Job summary

Xona is seeking an experienced Production Leader to direct the satellite manufacturing production team at the Burlingame, CA facility. You will oversee day-to-day manufacturing, lead a cross-functional team across planning, shop floor, maintenance, and QA, and drive safe, on-time high-quality output while scaling production capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or related field (minimum).
• 5+ years in a supervisor or manager role in a scaled, production facility at high build rates.
• Space industry or A&D manufacturing experience desirable; HW/SW assembly/testing exposure ideal.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and TPM; Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead production team for safe, high-quality, on-time satellite production.
• Plan production work orders, shift staffing, handovers, KPI tracking and facility efficiency.
• Coach and develop a high-performing production team with strong safety and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost learning reduction in production ramp-up.
• Own master production schedule and translate into daily/weekly work orders; optimize workforce and equipment.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, facilities, and production budget planning.
