Job summary

Xona is seeking a Lead Production Technician to lead the build, test, and integration of satellite spacecraft. This hands-on lead role requires coordinating a capable team, working with production, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and engineering to scale up capacity with high quality.

You will train and guide other technicians, ensure safety, and adhere to cleanroom and ESD practices while assembling complex components and performing tests.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hands-on mechanical or electrical assembly experience.
• 5+ years in a lead role coaching and coordinating a production team.
• Ability to read schematics and assembly instructions with basic GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to meet schedule and quality standards.
• Train and lead production technicians on assembly and test.
• Assemble and integrate satellite components and subsystems per instructions.
• Support cable routing, insulation, and spacecraft-level assembly tasks.
• Record test data and perform IPC-A-610/continuity testing as needed.
• Maintain production equipment, 5S/FOD, QA benches, and fixtures.
• Refine assembly and integration process instructions for quality and efficiency.
