Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Production Supervisor (Starlink) on 2nd shift to lead hourly teams responsible for build, test, and troubleshooting of hardware on the production line. You will drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, factory layout, and design feedback to expand global connectivity.

The role requires hands-on assembly, mentoring, and collaboration with engineering and operations to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of experience leading a team or project.
• Experience building, leading and maintaining cohesive teams.
• Experience in microelectronics assembly (optical assemblies, electrical circuitry).
• Ability to read and interpret controlled documentation and processes (drawings, GD&T, schematics).

Responsibilities

• Manage an hourly workforce with performance feedback and corrective actions.
• Lead by example and motivate the organization to high safety, quality, and rate results.
• Provide mentorship and assist with design decisions and technical problems.
• Drive area metrics: training/development, product flow, downtime reduction, defects elimination.
• Assist and drive NPI of new hardware with technicians.
• Perform hands-on assembly and testing when required.
• Develop solutions for defective hardware via troubleshooting.
• Monitor and approve employee timekeeping records.
