Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist (Starlink) for the 2nd shift to help establish new manufacturing/test processes and support full-scale production of the user terminal. You will program, load and operate automated equipment, triage non-conforming parts, and drive improvements to yield, cost, and throughput while maintaining design integrity and timelines.

Qualifications include 2+ years in hands-on manufacturing or a STEM degree; experience with IPC/J-STD

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years hands-on manufacturing experience, or a bachelor's in engineering, math or science.
• Experience with high-volume electronic assembly and IPC standards preferred.
• Ability to program, load and operate automated assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute new product introduction builds across all work centers.
• Program, load, and operate automated equipment.
• Triage non-conforming products and drive corrective actions.
• Resolve production issues while maintaining design integrity and timelines.
• Support transition of products from development to volume production.
• Identify opportunities for yield, cost, and performance improvements.
• Maintain equipment and schedules; ensure safety and quality.
