Job summary

SpaceX in Palo Alto is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer, Satellite Payload (Starlink) to own hardware from concept to de-orbit. You will design high-reliability electronics for satellites, work with mechanical, thermal, software, RF teams, and drive hardware readiness for on-orbit performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or STEM field.
• 1+ year in design/analysis of circuits or hardware.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-reliability electronics for satellites and spacecraft.
• Drive system trades, requirements capture, schematic capture, PCB layout and testing.
• Support hardware through production, integration, and on-orbit performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, test, and RF teams for integrated hardware.
• Question requirements and learn from mistakes to improve designs.
