Vantor is hiring a Satellite Operations Engineer for the Longmont, CO office. This onsite role requires a Secret clearance and 24/7 rotating shifts. You will coordinate with Mission Control and Spacecraft Engineering to maintain spacecraft health and safety.

Responsibilities include verifying ground communications, commanding spacecraft, monitoring telemetry, and reporting anomalies. Strong problem-solving, calm under pressure, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with active Secret clearance.
• Associate degree in engineering, computer science, or related field (2 years experience may substitute).
• Minimum 2 years in an operational environment.
• Requires 24/7 rotating shift on a five-week schedule.

Responsibilities

• Routinely verifies pre-contact communications between ground control and spacecraft.
• Ensures tasks and planning minimize risk of spacecraft faults within the Vantor constellation.
• Performs in-contact spacecraft commanding and health assessments for safety of spacecraft.
• Performs out-of-contact telemetry trending and analysis for ongoing spacecraft health.
