Job summary

Verizon is seeking Network Engineering and Operations Engineers to install, monitor, test, and maintain earth station telecommunications and related equipment. The role covers RF/IF/baseband technologies, with duties spanning testing, diagnostic analysis, and incident response.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, IP/Satellite expertise, and willingness to work 24x7/365 with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 1+ years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience or military service.
Experience in Satellite Network Communications.
Experience in IP Technologies.
A valid Driver's License.
Willing to work assigned shifts 24x7 365, with on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

Perform testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment per published standards.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure effective results.
Monitor vendor activities and remote teleports when necessary.
Monitor the network for anomalies and handle escalations per procedures.
Support assembly, installation, configuration and testing of satellite & network equipment.
Coordinate testing and turn up of service with involved parties.
Work onsite with government and international/domestic customers to maintain service levels.
