Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector seeks a Mission Operations Development Engineer to support distributed mission operations for on-orbit satellites. The role involves scripting, testing, and leading real-time mission execution with engineers and cross-functional teams.

The position is full-time and on-site, with potential 50% shift work. Candidates must have SCI clearance and strong problem-solving and communication skills to interact with external customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field with professional experience as specified (Level 3/4).
• Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
• Scripting experience in Python, STOL, or other coding languages.

Responsibilities

• Provide mission operations support to classified satellite programs.
• Develop and test command procedures and telemetry pages.
• Test and resolve discrepancies using simulators.
• Lead cross-functional team during real-time mission execution.
• Perform configuration management for space vehicle components.
• Support mission rehearsals, execution, and post-launch tests.
