Northrop Grumman in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Mission Operations Engineer at Level 2 or Level 3 to join the Mission Operations Development group. You will support multiple satellite programs, develop and test on-orbit procedures, and work with system engineers on operational documentation for on-orbit checkout and commissioning.

This full-time, on-site role requires SCI clearance and involves travel about 20% for simulations, rehearsals, and launch support.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience.
• Requires an active Top-Secret SCI clearance at time of application
• Experience with at least one spacecraft subsystem (ADCS/GNC, command and data handling, communications, power, Thermal, flight software, orbital planning and dynamics, etc.)
• Outstanding verbal and written communications skills, including ability to make persuasive presentations to external customers at milestone reviews.

Mansioni

• Provide mission operations support to NGSS Satellite programs.
• Support script development effort based on operational procedures.
• Testing on orbit operational products using simulators and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the development and testing of procedures, scripts, telemetry pages, and all other products.
• Modify existing operations procedures incorporating lessons learned from in-flight performance; develop new procedures as required.
• Support system development activities such as requirements management, architecture development, integration and test and formal program milestones.
• Work with systems engineers to develop operational documentation for use during on-orbit checkout and commissioning of satellites.
• Participate in mission readiness activities including mission rehearsals, mission timeline development, and post launch test development.
• Participate in on orbit anomaly resolution efforts.
• Provide status reporting through both the functional and program reporting branches.
• Provide additional support to multiple programs in the same product line.
