Lockheed Martin in Huntsville, AL seeks experienced flight operations engineers to conduct real-time spacecraft and satellite operations across readiness, execution, and evaluation phases.

Standard Job Description

There will be 4 positions being hired for. One (1) in Huntsville, AL and Three (3) in Grand Forks, ND.

Conducts mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases. Develops detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites. Provides technical direction for on orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support. Provides failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data. Utilizes system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommends improvements. Analyzes and validates software performance. Performs flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related area or combined education & related experience.
• Experience with solving complex and/or parallel problems
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work within a dynamic operational environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to pivot within a dynamic operational environment
• Proficiency with MS Office products

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00
