Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is designing and building a robust test infrastructure for satellite flight hardware. You will develop mechanical test systems, validate fixtures, and ensure performance and safety requirements are met through thorough analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

You willPrototype test fixtures, automate workflows using MATLAB and Python, and contribute to design reviews, training, and knowledge sharing across mechanical, electrical, and software

Qualifications

• 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience or equivalent
• Experience with prototyping and implementation
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test infrastructure for satellite flight hardware, producing clear design schematics, specifications, trade studies, and test plans that validate mechanical systems against targets.
• Build and validate prototypes of test fixtures and equipment, selecting manufacturing processes and making make-versus-buy decisions to meet schedules.
• Perform system-level analysis including thermal, dynamic, and electrical evaluations to ensure test setups reflect flight conditions and meet safety requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during design reviews and planning discussions to resolve integration challenges and improve test coverage.
• Develop scripts, firmware, or software tools to automate test workflows and mentor teammates on test systems.
