Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is seeking an Environmental Test Engineer Associate for a 12-week winter program in Northern California. You will design, build, and test satellite hardware and software as part of an interdisciplinary team, with hands-on exposure to TVAC, vibration, and EMI/EMC testing.

This internship targets students who already earned or will earn a bachelor’s degree and aims to provide meaningful spaceflight hardware experience, possibly leading to full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Have a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Ability to work onsite 5 days a week.
• Strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operations.
• Hands-on hardware development experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software.
• Operate and setup environmental test equipment including ambient thermal chambers, TVAC, vibration shaker tables, EMI/EMC test equipment.
• Learn to use test equipment and instruments (thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, oscilloscopes) to execute test plans.
• Set up, operate, and conduct environmental testing including vibration, acoustics, thermal, thermal vacuum, RF.
