Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II for the 2nd shift in Austin, TX. You will perform end-to-end assembly, integration, inspection, and testing of satellite hardware following established procedures and drawings.

The role supports production across manufacturing, quality, and supply-chain teams to ensure high-quality results. Responsibilities include assembling components, using tools and test equipment, inspecting parts, and recording data to maintain traceability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing technology.
• 0–3 years in manufacturing or related production operations.
• Reading engineering drawings and mechanical/electrical assembly familiarity.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools; ability to use measuring instruments.
• Experience with MES/ERP systems and production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components and subassemblies using approved procedures and drawings.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, production equipment and test equipment.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality and productivity standards.
• Record production, inspection, traceability and nonconformance data in manufacturing docs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production and continuous improvement.
