Job summary

Vantor is seeking an Operations Support Engineer to join a mission-focused technical operations team supporting satellite ground systems and 24x7 operational readiness. This role emphasizes scheduling backend ground systems and antenna resources, monitoring telemetry, and coordinating anomaly responses.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligibility for U.S. Government secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and investigate unfamiliar technical problems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external vendors in a time-sensitive operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate backend ground systems, antennas, and related resources with external vendors.
• Provide operational coverage through a rotating schedule including day, swing, overnight, weekend.
• Monitor system health and telemetry to identify anomalies and determine escalation paths.
• Coordinate with vendors and engineering teams to investigate hardware, software, and system issues.
• Track investigations, maintenance activities, corrective actions, and risk through resolution.
• Develop metrics and dashboards covering ground system and antenna availability and performance.
• Develop and improve operational tools, cloud-based capabilities, processes, and technical documentation.
