Job summary

Vantor in Colorado is seeking an Operations Support Engineer to join a mission-focused technical operations team supporting satellite ground systems and 24x7 readiness. You will schedule backend ground systems and antennas, monitor health, and coordinate anomaly response.

Collaborate with customers, vendors, service owners, and engineering teams to improve reliability, operator readiness, and mission outcomes. The role offers rotating shifts and exposure to cloud-based tools.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or 4 additional years of relevant experience).
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and investigate unfamiliar problems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, and external vendors in a time-sensitive operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate backend ground systems, antennas, and related resources with external vendors.
• Provide operational coverage through a rotating schedule including day, swing, overnight, weekend shifts.
• Monitor system health and analyze telemetry to identify anomalies and escalation paths.
• Coordinate with vendors and engineering teams to resolve hardware, software, and system issues.
• Track investigations, maintenance, actions, degradations, and risks through resolution.
• Develop metrics, reports, and dashboards on system availability and performance.
• Develop and improve operational tools, cloud-based capabilities, and documentation.
