Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to provide senior technical leadership for satellite ground systems on national security programs. You will guide architecture, interfaces, and lifecycle activities while coordinating across cross-functional teams and customers.

The role is onsite in Richardson, TX and requires a TS/SCI clearance. You will decompose requirements into capabilities and epics, lead integration and testing events, and ensure solutions meet program objectives with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM and 10+ years of relevant experience.
Experience leading development, integration, or sustainment of complex satellite ground systems on government or national security programs.
Experience developing system architectures, designs, capabilities, interfaces, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government clearance required before start date.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across development, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment of satellite ground systems.
Decompose customer requirements into capabilities, epics, features, and user stories using SAFe.
Lead enterprise integration and test activities, manage test events, discrepancies, and issue resolution.
Collaborate with customers, leadership, software and systems engineers to define solutions and drive objectives to completion.
Provide mentorship and best-practice guidance to engineering teams throughout the lifecycle.
