Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a Satellite Hardware Development Engineer to lead gateway modem design and drive the product from concept through production. You will work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver high-throughput, reliable ground gateway systems, while guiding PCB layout, testing, and manufacturing handoff.

The role requires a strong EE background, 5+ years hardware experience, and expertise with schematic tools and lab equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience using schematic tools (Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Cadence OrCad, or Altium Designer).
• 2+ years of experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters).

Responsibilities

• Own the ground gateway gigabit data rate modem design from concept through production.
• Design and optimize different blocks of electronics sub-systems.
• Lead and review schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Optimize PCB stack-up for performance and cost.
• Complete board bring-up and perform test campaigns for modules and subsystems.
• Support the transition of the designs to production with the contract manufacturer.
