Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond is seeking an Electrical Test and Reliability Engineer for Starlink satellites. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline.
• 1+ years of hardware development or electronics test engineering (internship acceptable).
• Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering is a plus.
• Strong programming in Python and C/C++ for test automation.
• Experience with test equipment and measurement techniques to verify product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test solutions for avionics and payload hardware.
• Select off-the-shelf hardware or design PCBAs to measure signals and apply flight-like loads.
• Write Python automation software to interact with units, test equipment, data, and production systems.
• Support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, test engineering and supply chain teams.
• Perform electrical bench testing and develop models of failures to inform mitigation.
• Develop tools to analyze on-orbit and lab data to drive design improvements.
• Challenge assumptions and pursue simple solutions to complex problems.
