Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond is seeking an Electrical Test and Reliability Engineer to design automated test solutions for avionics and payload hardware, and to write Python automation for test systems and data handling.

You will support hardware through production, satellite integration and flight, collaborating with mechanical, thermal, software, test engineering and supply chain teams to deliver high-performance hardware and robust test coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline.
• 1+ years of experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering (internship acceptable).
• Preferred: Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding ofPython and C/C++ programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test solutions for avionics and payload hardware.
• Select off-the-shelf hardware or design PCBAs to measure signals and power units under test.
• Write Python automation to interact with units, test equipment, data and docs.
• Support hardware through production, satellite integration and flight.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, test engineering and supply chain teams.
• Develop models of failures and improve test coverage through data analysis.
