Job summary

Apex Systems’ Everforth Apex is seeking a DSP Algorithms Engineer in El Segundo, CA for an onsite contract role. You will design state-of-the-art RF and digital satellite communication systems and lead waveform development and verification efforts.

Required: a BS in engineering or related field, 5+ years in digital communications and signal processing, 3+ years in systems engineering, and experience with MATLAB/Simulink; FPGA/ASIC exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

BS degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5+ years of experience in core digital communications and signal processing theory.
3+ years of experience in systems engineering including requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design, and trade design.
3+ years of experience with MATLAB or Simulink.
1+ year of experience with FPGAs or ASICs.

Responsibilities

Design and develop next-generation RF and digital satellite communication systems.
Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms.
Lead HDL-level design and verification and support integration and test.
Perform waveform development and characterization and trade studies on system design.
