Production Supervisor – Space Systems Manufacturing (2nd Shift)
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the mechanical and electrical assembly of advanced satellite systems supporting a rapidly expanding Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation.
This role will oversee production teams, ensure build quality and efficiency, and help develop a high-performing manufacturing workforce.
Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical and electrical satellite assembly operations, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Coordinate production personnel across assigned shifts to ensure products are built on schedule, within cost targets, and to required quality levels.
- Maintain 6S standards, housekeeping, and operational effectiveness within assigned production areas.
- Support training, certification, and process auditing to ensure team capability and compliance.
- Coach, motivate, and develop team members to promote performance, accountability, and collaboration.
- Partner with supervisors, managers, and operations leadership to resolve production bottlenecks and performance challenges.
- Drive achievement of key operational metrics including safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure smooth build operations and timely issue resolution.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred
Experience
- 5+ years supervising production teams, ideally with 10+ direct reports
- Experience within manufacturing or technical assembly environments preferred

Technical Tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with manufacturing documentation systems, MES, or ERP platforms beneficial
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Experience within aerospace, electronics, or precision manufacturing
- Understanding of satellite, avionics, or complex mechanical/electrical assembly processes
