Job summary

BlackSky in Tukwila, WA is hiring a full-time Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) Technician to support satellite assembly, test, and delivery. The role may involve travel to launch sites, and candidates must be able to work on site in Washington with ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in at least two areas: wire harness assembly, PCA assembly and test, mechanical assembly, epoxy/adhesive preparation and application, electromechanical components, or system testing.
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as multimeters, power supplies and oscilloscopes.
• Must be a US Person, able to perform physical labor and work to a schedule in a dynamic, multi-task environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly and test operations on satellite production line.
• Assemble and inspect electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Set up and execute functional and performance tests of electronics components and systems.
• Participate in anomaly/failure investigations and resolution.
• Provide feedback on designs and processes; participate in process improvement activities.
• Support other assembly and test activities across the company such as wire harnesses, PCAs and related tasks.
• Fine-pitch soldering, wire harness assembly/repair, epoxy/adhesive application, and mechanical assembly.
• Other duties as assigned.
