Job summary

BlackSky in Tukwila, WA is hiring an Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) Engineer to support satellite and subsystem testing, develop test rigs, and document procedures. You will work with system and hardware engineers to define requirements and contribute to test design for manufacturing. 5 days on-site in Tukwila is expected.

Required is a B.S. in a relevant engineering field and 3+ years in production, with ability to read drawings and create harness schematics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years in a production environment, preferably with space hardware.
• Ability to interpret drawings and create harness schematics.
• Experience with integration, end-to-end testing, and operations.
• Knowledge of satellite subsystems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute satellite and subsystem test setups and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and program management to align tests with requirements and schedules.
• Maintain and extend automated and manual test equipment and fixtures.
• Maintain satellite harnessing and develop new harnessing.
• Perform satellite-level tests, troubleshoot, and resolve stoppages.
• Create work instructions and training docs for assemblies and subsystems.
• Support process improvements for test docs, data, configuration control, and integration operations.
