Job summary

BlackSky is seeking an Assembly, Integration & Test Technician for our Tukwila, WA office. You will support satellite production, perform mechanical and electrical assembly, and execute functional tests on electronics and electromechanical systems.

Role requires lab equipment experience, at least two years in relevant areas, and ability to work full-time in an office environment with potential travel to launch sites. US citizenship or equivalent status is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with lab equipment (multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes).
• 2+ years in at least two of: wire harness, PCA, mechanical assembly, epoxy prep, electromechanical components, or system testing.
• Able to perform moderate physical labor and follow a schedule.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, multitask environment with shifting priorities.
• Independent thinker who communicates with stakeholders.
• US Person required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly and test operations on satellite production line.
• Assemble and inspect electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Set up and execute functional and performance tests of electronics components and systems.
• Participate in anomaly/failure investigation and resolution.
• Provide feedback on designs and processes; participate in improvements.
• Support other assembly and test activities across the company.
• Fine-pitch soldering and wire harness assembly.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
