Job summary

SpaceX in Washington state is hiring an Antenna Engineer for Satellites (Starlink). You will own design of phased array and reflector antennas for satellites, gateways, and customer hardware, collaborating across electrical, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2+ years RF/antenna research or development experience (internship/thesis acceptable).
• 1+ years using 3D EM tools CST/HFSS/FEKO/EMPro/TICRA/XFDTD.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced antenna and feed systems for next-gen products, including phased array and reflector products.
• Fabricate and characterize prototypes of antennas, feed systems and RF front ends.
• Contribute to software and testing of digital beamforming to demonstrate full phased array functionality.
• Provide phased array expertise to set specifications and debug problems for satellite and consumer products.
• Perform design validation testing of prototype and production designs.
• Contribute to integration of antennas into spacecraft and other systems.
• Analyze in-field RF performance data and investigate improvements.
