Job summary

BlackSky in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead spacecraft test development and transition test campaigns from engineering to production readiness. You will develop test plans, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure that satellites are reliably produced with high quality.

The ideal candidate has over 12 years of experience in spacecraft integration and test, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and proven capabilities in test automation.

Qualifications

• At least 12 years of experience in spacecraft integration and test.
• Direct experience leading spacecraft build and test campaigns.
• Experience with spacecraft system test procedures and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the transition of test campaigns from engineering to production-ready execution.
• Plan and manage cross-functional team members supporting test development.
• Define requirements for Ground Support Equipment and test infrastructure.
