Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network Support Specialist at Hill AFB, UT to support the DISA-provided GIG/SATCOM networks. You will manage IP/SATCOM configurations, monitor events, and assist with ticketing and DoD gateway operations in a 24/7 environment.

The role requires an active Secret clearance, DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 cert, and 2–4 years of related experience. Expect collaboration with DoD facilities and overseas operators on SATCOM issues.

Qualifications

• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification required.
• Ability to operate 24/7 in a military environment.
• Experience with SAA/GAAs for network configuration.
• Experience with MILSATCOM encryption devices.
• Knowledge of SATCOM architecture and signal flow.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Experience managing IP over SATCOM networks.
• High school diploma with 2-4 years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and update tickets using DISA ticketing systems for network issues.
• Monitor network events 24/7.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and voice equipment.
• Support IP satellite modem configuration and file management.
• Remotely access and provision customers into IP/SATCOM networks.
• Troubleshoot SATCOM and IP networks with DoD gateways.
• Verify equipment operates in baseline configuration.
• Provide global equipment configs at DoD SATCOM gateways using SAA/GAA.
