Job summary

DataPath is a global leader in satellite-based communications solutions and seeks a Customer Support Engineer for our Duluth, GA facility. This hands-on role troubleshoots product issues, coordinates repairs, and delivers an exceptional customer experience from first contact to resolution.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly with customers, handles multiple support cases, and works hands-on with antenna systems. Occasional on-site work and travel are required to support customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in technical customer support or field service.
• Experience with transportable/portable RF, antenna, satellite equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• US citizen; valid driver''s license and ability to obtain an international license.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for on-site support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for customers experiencing product or system issues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues.
• Guide customers through diagnostic procedures and provide clear, practical solutions.
• Determine when issues can be resolved remotely and when equipment requires return, repair, replacement, or on-site support.
• Document customer issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and follow-up activities.
• Escalate complex or recurring technical issues to engineering and product teams as appropriate.
• Maintain RMAs and communicate status and expected completion dates to customers.
• Provide on-site support, installations, troubleshooting, and service work as required.
