Job summary

DataPath in Duluth, GA is seeking an Experienced Customer Support Engineer to join our team. The role is hands-on, with a focus on diagnosing issues, coordinating repairs and returns, and delivering excellent customer experiences from initial problem identification to resolution.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot RF and satellite equipment, communicate clearly with customers, and provide on-site support as needed at our Duluth facility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in technical customer support, field service, electronics repair, engineering support, or a related technical role.
• Must have knowledge in transportable and portable RF, antenna, satellite communications, or related equipment including ACU, satellite acquisition, SSPA/HPA, LNA/LNB, fiber/coax/ethernet, FDMA/TDMA modems, up-/down-converters.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and/or electronic equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers with varying levels of knowledge.
• US citizen; valid US driver’s license; ability to obtain international license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical contact for customers with product or system issues.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and other channels promptly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot hardware, electrical, and system-level issues.
• Guide customers through diagnostics and provide practical solutions.
• Decide when issues can be resolved remotely or require on-site support.
• Document issues, steps, resolutions, and follow-up activities.
• Escalate complex problems to engineering and product teams as needed.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the support and repair process.
• Track RMAs and communicate status and completion dates to customers.
• Provide on-site support including installation, maintenance, testing, and repair.
