Job summary

DataPath, Inc. seeks a Satellite Communications Technician to support DoD gateway systems and tactical SATCOM terminals in a Germany-based field service role.

You will join a multi-terminal support team handling DKET, SIPR/NIPR, MNIS/CENTRIXS and other SATCOM assets. Required are US citizenship, a DoD Secret clearance, a valid US passport, a degree or equivalent experience, and strong OSI/TCP/IP knowledge with UNIX and SATCOM hardware.

Qualifications

• US citizen completing security clearance requirements for DoD work.
• Candidate must possess passport and be eligible for US government clearances.
• Willingness to live and work in Germany for the duration of the contract.
• Experience with SATCOM terminals and associated test equipment.
• Strong understanding of OSI protocols (TCP/IP, X.25, X.400, X.500).
• Knowledge of UHF systems and related field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service and maintenance for DoD gateway systems and earth terminals.
• Perform real time transmission system configuration control and circuit restoration.
• Monitor, report, and perform preventive maintenance per SOPs.
• Adhere to government and corporate policies and conduct team meetings.
• Support training and knowledge transfer to on-site staff.
