Job summary

Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Saturday PRN Physical Therapist to provide hands-on rehabilitation across adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The role involves evaluating patients, establishing goals with families, and implementing comprehensive plans of care in collaboration with the Shepherd Center team.

In this active clinical position you will deliver focused therapies, adapt plans as patient needs change, and contribute to education for patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited program in physical therapy.
• BLS required.
• Licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.
• Two (2) years recent clinical experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patient’s physical and functional status including strength, motor function, reflexes, gait, and activities of daily living.
• Develops and implements treatment program and periodically reassesses and adapts.
• Plans and delivers patient and family training to ensure proper care.
• Orders and fits equipment, schedules clinics, and coordinates with team members.
• Documents observations clearly and timely according to Center policy.
• Participates in research projects as needed and may supervise students.
