Shepherd Center is seeking a Physical Therapist to treat adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, establish short- and long-term goals, and develop comprehensive plans of care for rehabilitation.

The role emphasizes hands-on therapy, collaboration with the Shepherd Center team, and contributing to patient recovery and education. Prior experience with complex spinal cord or brain injuries is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Licensed to practice in Georgia; BLS required.
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients' physical and functional status including strength, motor function, reflexes, ambulation, and ADLs.
• Review medical history and conduct sensory, muscle, and ROM tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and reassess progress.
• Provide patient and family education and training for home programs.
• Select and fit durable medical equipment as needed in consultation with care team.
• Schedule and coordinate patients for clinics and programs.
• Discuss goals and discharge planning with patient and family.
• Participate in education or supervision of students and contribute to research when needed.
