Job summary

Shepherd Center is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for PRN Saturday coverage to assess and treat adolescent to geriatric patients. You will collaborate with patients and families to develop comprehensive treatment plans and contribute to interdisciplinary care.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment programs, documenting progress, and participating in education and research activities as needed. Flexible weekend scheduling and dedicated, compassionate care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy.
• Licensed to practice in Georgia; BLS required.
• OT Telehealth requires licensure in the client state.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements treatment program to further patient’s functional skills, which is then periodically reassessed and adapted.
• Effective communication and team collaboration.
• Professional behaviors and expectations.
• Helping patients to develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities.
• Plans and develops effective patient and family training to ensure proper patient care.
• Makes recommendations for specialty services or consultations as needed.
• Uses evaluation findings to determine appropriate discharge planning needs.
• Provides skilled interventions as outlined by AOTA.
• May float to inpatient or post-acute programs to provide patient evaluation or treatment sessions as needed.
