Job summary

The Pierce Institute for Academic Excellence is seeking a part-time English tutor to support high school students with grammar, writing, reading, and SAT/ACT prep. Training on the new digital SAT will be provided. Availability includes 2 after-school slots and weekend sessions; some summer hours are described.

In-person tutoring at our Cityview center is required. Candidates must achieve a minimum 700 on the R/Wr portion of the SAT to proceed with interviews.

Qualifications

• Strong grammar, writing, reading, and testing skills.
• Availability of at least 6 hours per week with defined weekday/weekend slots.
• SAT/ACT prep experience or ability to be trained for digital SAT.

Responsibilities

• Tutor high school students in English and SAT/ACT prep.
• Follow assigned schedule, including after-school and weekend slots.
• Provide feedback and progress updates to students and parents.
