Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Prevention Coalition Coordinator to lead community-level substance use prevention efforts, coordinating coalitions, education programs, and volunteer mobilization.

The role focuses on implementing evidence-based prevention strategies, developing state-aligned prevention plans, and ensuring compliant data reporting for funding sources. The candidate will facilitate training, develop partnerships, and sustain communications with coalition members while monitoring program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, family studies, public health, education, or other human service field.
• Must have the CPS (Certified Prevention Specialist), current CPS Development Plan, or other appropriate certification or secure it within two years of employment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of a substance use prevention coalition including development, recruitment of participants, maintaining membership, organizing and facilitating meetings, coordinating special events and sustaining communications with coalition members.
• Oversee and conduct coalition education and training, program development and coordination of any other training identified as beneficial to the community by the coalition.
• Mobilize volunteers for community awareness events and local advocacy issues.
• Implement nationally recognized model programs and deliver substance use prevention curriculum, as adopted by the agency, to ensure current evidence-based practices are being applied.
• Develop agency prevention plan per state regulations; monitor implementation, track utilization of hours, and amend as needed.
• Conduct pre- and post-testing for programs and services to demonstrate effectiveness.
• Coordinate and conduct retailer education on tobacco distribution to minors, including community checks for compliance.
• Maintain timely submission of demographic and billing data as required by funding sources.
• Meet established utilization targets to fulfill the service obligations of the prevention plan and maximize the funding available through identified funders.
• Conduct routine community needs assessment with collaborative partners to ensure application of appropriate programming.
• Periodically interview key stakeholders and concerned citizens to identify community strengths and contributors to substance abuse.
