Job summary

Databricks in the US is seeking an SAP Technical Lead to own the technical architecture for a clean-core S/4HANA landscape and its extensibility on SAP BTP and Databricks Lakehouse. You will lead engineers, define standards, and drive AI-enabled ERP integrations.

The role focuses on secure, scalable integration across SAP and non-SAP systems, data unification in the Lakehouse, and governance aligning with SOX/SoD. A strong leadership track record and 10+ years in SAP are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in SAP technical roles with 3+ years as lead/architect.
• Delivery of at least one full S/4HANA program (greenfield or conversion).
• Clean-Core architecture with in-app vs side-by-side extensibility.
• Advanced SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud, RAP, CDS, CAP experience.
• AI and agentic systems exposure and judgment on AI usage in ERP.
• Strong integration skills with SAP Integration Suite and APIs.
• Data modeling and governance for ERP data and analytics.
• Governance and SOX/SoD considerations.

Responsibilities

• Define the end-to-end SAP technical architecture for S/4HANA landscapes.
• Lead extensibility strategy using Databricks-native apps.
• Drive enterprise AI integration with Databricks AI capabilities.
• Design secure, observable integration across SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Unify SAP data in the Lakehouse with ingestion, CDC, and lineage.
• Set CI/CD, automated testing, and transport pipelines for BTP artifacts.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate across SAP ecosystem teams.
• Own non-functional outcomes: performance, security, resilience, cost.
