Job summary

KBI Biopharma, Inc. is seeking a SAP Systems Analyst to drive the implementation and ongoing optimization of SAP S/4HANA in a highly regulated pharma environment.

You will ensure compliant, scalable finance and cross-domain processes across RtR, O2C, and P2P, with focus on data integrity and regulatory readiness. The role requires hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and Concur, and active participation in Agile ceremonies.

POSITION SUMMARY

The SAP Systems Analyst supports the implementation and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA business processes within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role ensures the successful delivery of SAP enhancements and maintains system stability in compliance with FDA, GxP, and SOX standards. This role provides functional expertise across integrated business processes—specifically Record-to-Report (RtR), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)—facilitating seamless data flow across Finance, Supply Chain, and third-party integrations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Support & Solution Design

• Record-to-Report (RtR): Support the functional design and maintenance of Global Finance processes, including General Ledger, Controlling, and Tax requirements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Order-to-Cash (O2C) & Project Systems: Assist in managing the integration between Sales & Distribution (SD), Project Systems (PS), and Finance to support complex billing, project tracking, and revenue recognition workflows.
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P): Help optimize the integration between Procurement (MM) and Finance to streamline requisitioning, purchasing, and vendor payment processes.

Implementation, Support & Agile Participation

• System Enhancements: Participate in the end-to-end planning and execution of SAP S/4HANA changes, contributing to design, configuration, testing, validation, and cutover activities.

Cloud Ecosystem & Digital Integration

• Support the functional governance of the broader SAP ecosystem by facilitating seamless integration between S/4HANA and cloud-based platforms, specifically SAP Ariba (Strategic Sourcing/P2P) and SAP Concur (Travel & Expense); assist in managing the functional roadmap for third-party interfaces to ensure data integration and governance strategies remain aligned with KBI’s global technology standards and compliance requirements.

Agile Contribution

• Support Agile and Hybrid delivery frameworks by actively participating in Jira-based ceremonies. Assist with sprint planning, maintain the functional backlog, and contribute to retrospectives to improve team velocity and delivery quality.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Business Process Owners in Finance and Supply Chain to help align system capabilities with operational goals.

Quality & Compliance Validation (CSV)

• Support Computer System Validation (CSV) activities and documentation (Functional Specs, Test Scripts) in accordance with 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP 5 principles.

Audit Readiness

• Assist in maintaining robust risk and change management processes to ensure audit compliance and data integrity.

Stakeholder Liaison

• Serve as a functional liaison between IT, QA, and Business Process Owners to ensure regulatory readiness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field.

7–10 years of progressive IT/Functional experience, with a focus on SAP Finance and Integration.

Proven experience in a Life Sciences/Biotech environment with a demonstrated understanding of GxP and CSV requirements.

Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and modern integration landscapes (e.g., Ariba, Concur).

Functional Competencies

• Broad SAP Knowledge: Solid understanding of the interdependencies between FI, CO, SD, MM, and PS.
• Process Knowledge: Strong familiarity with end-to-end RtR, P2P, and O2C business cycles.
• Methodology: Familiarity with SAP Activate or similar implementation frameworks, with proficiency in using Jira for Agile task management and documentation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Hybrid: Durham, NC. Travel up to 5% may be required for project workshops or critical site engagements. Must work effectively in a fast-paced, regulated, and multinational environment.
