Job summary

Enterprise Data Labs seeks an experienced SAP Functional Planning analyst to translate complex business requirements into robust SAP designs and specifications. You will lead Fit-to-Template workshops across countries, design end-to-end SAP process solutions, and guide best-practice templates that minimize customization.

This role requires 5+ years of hands-on SAP experience and fluent English, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting testing cycles (SIT/UAT), data migration, and go-live readiness activities.
• Fluent in English; strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

• Analyze complex business requirements for Planning and translate them into functional SAP designs and specifications.
• Facilitate and lead Fit-to-Template and blueprint workshops with business stakeholders across multiple countries and departments.
• Design end-to-end SAP process solutions aligned with client operational models, ensuring integration across functional modules.
• Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices, recommending standard-first approaches to minimize customizations and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Develop documentation including functional specifications and business process flows

SAP Configuration & Implementation

• Help configure and optimize SAP modules relevant to SAP Planning.
• Support full project lifecycle — from solution design and system configuration through testing, cutover, and post go-live stabilization.
• Participate in SAP implementation, enhancement, international rollout, and system optimization projects.
• Contribute to the design, evolution, and harmonization of global SAP templates across client organizations.

Testing, Training & Go-Live Support

• Lead BST, UAT and regression testing activities, ensuring solution quality and business readiness before go-live.
• Support data migration activities and cutover planning in collaboration with project and client teams.
• Develop test scripts and test execution plan and prepare data for testing.
• Coordinate test execution and document defects in JIRA
• Coordinate the creation of training materials, SOP’s (standard operating procedures) and WI (work instructions)
• Deliver end-user training sessions and provide hands-on coaching to business key users.
• Provide post go-live hypercare support, troubleshooting functional issues and ensuring a reliable service level.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with business process owners, global process leads, local business teams, and technical developers to ensure alignment between processes and system design.
• Serve as a functional expert and second-line support resource for business end users within the run environment.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international project teams, including implementation partners and client stakeholders across Latin America.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and operational performance within SAP environments, proactively recommending solutions.
• Mentor and coach junior consultants, supporting their professional growth within the team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as SAP Functional Planning analyst / consultant.
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with SAP implementations, rollouts, or transformation programs.
• Deep functional expertise in at least one of the following areas: Supply Chain (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver)
• Solid experience working with SAP modules such as MM, WM/eWM, SD, LE, PP, QM, MRP, FI, CO, or related submodules.
• Proven track record of facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and delivering functional specifications in complex international environments.
• Experience supporting testing cycles (SIT/UAT), data migration, and go-live readiness activities.

Language & Communication

• Fluent in both English — mandatory for all candidates.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to present technical concepts clearly to non-technical business audiences.

NICE TO HAVE

• Hands-on experience in a similar business function (e.g., supply chain operations, finance, or quality management) or in consulting services environments is a plus.
• Exposure to SAP master data governance and data migration toolsets.
• Background in manufacturing, consumer goods, life sciences, energy, or industrial operations sectors.
• Knowledge of SAP integrations — IDOCs, EDI, and cross-module integration points (e.g., FI-MM-SD).
• Familiarity with SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or Group Reporting for Finance specializations.
• SAP certification in one or more relevant modules (FI, CO, MM, WM, SD, PP, QM, or S/4HANA).
• Experience with SAP Fiori and S/4HANA user experience design.
