Job summary

Tech Observer in Santa Clara, CA seeks a Business Analyst to support SAP IBP and ERP implementation lifecycle, documenting current-state and to-be processes across Demand and Supply Planning areas. You will gather requirements from BPOs and SMEs, support workshops, and help validate solution designs.

Responsibilities include coordinating UAT, defect tracking, data validation, and ensuring data migrated is accurate before go-live, with emphasis on CPQ/CTO understanding and strong communication

Qualifications

• Experience documenting business processes across demand and supply planning domains.
• Proven ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and validate solutions.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, or similar ERP/planning platforms is preferred.

• Gather, document, and validate business requirements from BPOs/SMEs and stakeholders.
• Support workshops, process reviews, and solution validation sessions.
• Coordinate and support UAT activities including test planning and defect tracking in Jira/XRay.
• Ensure approved designs are thoroughly tested prior to deployment.
• Support data validation and migration activities, master data reconciliation.
• Assist adoption of new processes and system capabilities introduced by SAP implementation.

Job Description:

• Support the Planning Workstream Lead throughout the SAP IBP and ERP implementation lifecycle.
• Document and maintain current-state and to-be business processes across:
• Demand Planning
• Supply Planning
• DFM Operations
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements from Business Process Owners (BPOs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and key stakeholders.
• Support requirements workshops, process reviews, and solution validation sessions.
• Partner with SAP functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are accurately reflected in solution designs.
• Review proposed solutions and identify gaps, risks, or process impacts.
• Develop and maintain process flows, business scenarios, and testing artifacts.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including:
• Test planning
• Defect tracking and resolution using XRay in Jira
• Ensure all approved solution designs are thoroughly tested and validated prior to deployment.
• Good understanding of CPQ/CTO.
• Perform data validation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of migrated and converted data.
• Support master data validation and reconciliation efforts related to planning and materials management processes.
• Track and manage action items, issues, risks, and dependencies within the planning workstream.
• Support business readiness activities, including process documentation, training support, and go-live preparation.
• Assist BPOs and SMEs as they adopt new processes and system capabilities introduced through the SAP implementation.
• Support deployment, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
• Experience working with one or more of the following areas:

• CTO Processes
• Understanding of supply chain planning processes and supporting business functions.
• Experience gathering business requirements and documenting business processes.
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and business validation activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience validating data and supporting data migration activities.
• Ability to work effectively with Business Process Owners, Subject Matter Experts, IT teams, and external implementation partners.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, or other ERP/planning platforms is preferred.
• Experience supporting ERP, supply chain, or business transformation initiatives is preferred.
• High-tech manufacturing, electronics, networking, semiconductor, or data storage industry experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role supporting supply chain processes.
