SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PLM Consultant with a strong background in Enterprise Product Development (EPD) or Integrated Product Development (IPD) and recipe development. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting PLM solutions in an SAP S/4HANA environment, especially focused on process industries and product lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure SAP S/4HANA PLM modules, specifically EPD or IPD, aligned with business requirements.
• Lead or support recipe development processes, including formula management, material specifications, and compliance tracking.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality, and production teams to optimize product data management and lifecycle tracking.
• Customize and enhance PLM workflows, data models, and user interfaces.
• Conduct workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Develop test scenarios, perform unit/integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, REACH, etc.) where applicable.
• Provide training and post-go-live support to end-users and stakeholders.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (SAP MM, PP, QM, and other modules) for integrated solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as an SAP PLM Consultant in S/4HANA environments.
• Expertise in SAP PLM modules, particularly EPD (Enterprise Product Development) or IPD (Integrated Product Development).
• Strong understanding of recipe development processes, including specification management and formulation.
• Experience with SAP Fiori apps related to PLM and product development.
• Familiarity with product structure, change management, and compliance tracking.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food & beverage).
• Understanding of SAP EH&S, SAP Document Management System (DMS), and integration with PLM modules.
• SAP certification in PLM or S/4HANA.
• Prior experience with Agile or hybrid implementation methodologies.

Location: Chicago, IL (Remote working arrangement, aligned to central time zone business hours, will be permitted)

Travel: Up to 40% travel to the project site will be required through September (Client will cover the costs)

Duration: 5+ Months

Pay: $75-$85 per hour (W-2 only)

Citizenship: U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only (H1-B sponsorship will not be granted)
