Job Title: Procurement Specialist IV/Materials Management Advisor

Duration: 12-month contract (potential for extensions)

Pay range: $60-$70/hr

Job Description :

• The Materials Management Advisor (Material Coordination) is accountable to establish systematic material planning and coordination processes following OMS and Materials Management common process.
• Responsible for working with Line stakeholders to compile demand for materials in support of on-going activities and coordinating work with procurement and other materials management teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to meet business requirements.

Geographic Scope: region/ site Key Accountabilities:

• Work with all operating functions and entities to capture material demand and coordinate the supply of materials with procurement and MM teams to meet the business requirements in effective and efficient manner.
• Responsible for the use and application of demand planning and coordination tools and techniques to support and improve demand planning and scheduling processes.
• The MC Advisor is responsible to identify, communicate and prioritize risk mitigation activities related to Material Demand Planning and Coordination.
• Management of MM Service providers’ performance in accordance with agreed scope of service.
• Develop measures and monitor annual performance and resource plan for the team, ensuring that all enablers required are available to deliver the strategy.
• Support identification of excess and surplus inventory
• Provide strategic direction to team, align team activities to procurement and stakeholder priorities, empower team members to develop plans and execute.
• Understand and conform to demand planning and coordinating requirements.

• Support continuous improvement of supply.
• The Materials Management Advisor (Inventory) focuses on control, optimization and management of all owned material inventory across a region/site.
• Responsible for ongoing analysis and reporting with an emphasis on continuous improvement and inventory performance for all operating entities in region.
• Develop and implement regional/site inventory strategy to support the business plan.
• Collaborate with the Line, Finance and Procurement teams to evaluate inventory requirements and achieve optimum total cost of ownership (TCO) balanced with meeting service expectations.
• Understand and conform to the requirements of Operating Management System (OMS), Materials Management common process (MMcp) and the inventory accounting requirements relevant for the region/site.
• Identify and monitor key performance indicators that track and communicate progress on inventory performance to the stakeholders.
• Manage the performance of the Inventory analysts and provide environment of effective learning and development.
• Ensure the high level of quality with regards to the data integrity of each material master record maintained in the ERP.
• Engage with stakeholders on the identification of spare parts linkage to critical assets within ERP for visibility.
• Work with Maintenance function to define critical equipment spares strategy and establish service level reviews down to the item master level.
• Manage the Demand Planning process as it applies to the inventory management.
• On-going analysis and optimization of inventory level setting to ensure alignment of Line material requirements with inventory strategy.
• Verify inventory through a physical inventory counting and reconciliation process that is aligned with Regional Finance and PSA requirements if applicable.
• In partnership with the Line establish a surplus identification process to include the disposition of obsolete material to enable in.
