Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a hands-on SAP MM Functional Analyst to support an established Materials Management team in a gas and oil environment in Katy, TX. This role requires deep expertise in SAP MM and end-to-end MM processes to guide procurement, inventory, and master data activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on SAP MM experience with at least 1 year in Gas & Oil.
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end MM processes and master data.
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, inventory and Procure to Pay.
• Oil & gas, energy, industrial or MRO experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise business users on SAP MM processes and recommend practical solutions.
• Support Procure to Pay processes including requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts and invoice verification.
• Review business requirements, identify process gaps and recommend improvements within the existing SAP environment.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation and user questions related to SAP MM.
• Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory, Warehouse and Maintenance teams.

Job description

Our team is looking for a hands-on SAP MM Functional Analyst to serve as an advisor and subject matter expert supporting an established Materials Management team in an oil and gas environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands on SAP MM functional support and day-to-day guidance to the MM team
• Analyze and resolve SAP MM issues involving purchasing, procurement, inventory, material movements and master data
• Advise business users on SAP MM processes and recommend practical solutions
• Support Procure to Pay processes including requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts and invoice verification
• Review business requirements, identify process gaps and recommend improvements within the existing SAP environment
• Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation and user questions related to SAP MM

Required qualifications

• 5 or more years of hands-on SAP MM functional experience with at least one year in Gas&Oil industry
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM and end to end Materials Management processes
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, inventory and material master data
• Strong experience troubleshooting and resolving SAP MM functional issues
• Ability to advise business users and translate operational needs into practical SAP MM solutions
• Oil and gas, energy, industrial or MRO experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge of master data, procurement, logistics, field materials and upstream/refinery experience

Preferred experience

• SAP PM, WM or EWM exposure
• MRO materials, spare parts or maintenance procurement
• Experience supporting an operational SAP MM environment rather than solely project based implementation work

This role is best suited for an experienced SAP MM professional who enjoys being the go-to functional resource for an MM team, solving problems and improving how the business uses SAP.
