Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior SAP MM/PP consultant in the United States to manage functional and process quality across full lifecycle implementations and production support. You will collaborate with SAP Consultants, Business Analysts, and global partners to deliver end-to-end logistics and procurement integration.

Qualifications

3 full life cycle SAP project implementations with at least one full implementation in MM and/or PP.
8+ years of hands-on SAP SCM (MM/PP) experience with a combination of production support and project implementation.
Familiarity with SAP ASAP project methodology or other methodologies.
Expertise in master data definitions, configuration and RICEFW development in MM.
End-to-end logistics processes in Material Management with Production Planning expertise.
Strong inventory management reports, transactions, movement types, functionality and config.
Designing and developing user training documentation, test plans and scripts.
Knowledge of SAP authorization roles and security design in functional areas.

Responsibilities

Ensure SAP functional quality across project lifecycles and implementations/improvements.
Collaborate with SAP Consultants/Business Analysts and regional/global partners.
Coordinate with production support team.
Lead SAP Production Planning implementation: including MRP, Planning Board, DS Board, Production Orders, Planned Orders, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, and Production Version.
Analyze and troubleshoot MM/PP production issues across config, master data, RICEFW, integrations, and processes.
Support master data configuration, Material Planning, P2P, Sourcing and Inventory integration.
Configure organizational structures: valuation areas, plants, purchasing organizations, storage locations.
Develop, design, test, and validate SAP configuration/customizing for new processes.
Provide guidelines for architecting APO-DP, SNP, MM/PP with procurement and production planning.
Resolve authorization issues with SAP security team and recommend secure setups.
Provide functional specs for RICEFW development and validate developments.
Lead workshops from scoping through realization with process owners.

Job description

Responsible for functional and process quality of SAP and implementation/improvement project life cycles
Work with SAP Consultants/Business Analysts and regional and global business partners
Work closely with the production support team
Lead implementation of SAP Production Planning functionality, including MRP, Planning Board, DS Board, Subcontracting, Production Orders, Planned Orders, Material Master, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, and Production Version
Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug sophisticated SAP MM/PP production issues across configuration, master data, custom developments (RICEFW), integrations, and business processes
Support master data configuration, Material Planning, Procure to Pay, Sourcing and Inventory Management, and MM/PP/QM process integration
Configure organizational structures and related settings, including valuation areas, plants, purchasing organizations, and storage locations
Develop, design, test, and validate SAP configuration/customizing for new business processes
Provide guidelines for architecting, designing, and supporting APO-DP, SNP, and MM/PP applications with procurement and production planning
Resolve authorization issues with the SAP security team and recommend efficient security setups
Provide functional specifications for RICEFW development and test and validate developments for business use
Work independently with business process owners and lead workshops from scoping through realization

Requirements

3 full life cycle SAP project implementations with at least one full implementation in MM and or PP
8+ years of hands-on strong SAP SCM (MM/PP) experience with a combination of production support and project implementation
Familiarity and ability to use SAP ASAP project methodology or other project methodologies
Expertise in master data definitions, configuration and RICEFW development in the MM area
Expertise in implementation of end to end logistics processes in relation to Material Management with specific expertise in Production planning
Solid understanding of inventory management reports, transactions, movement types, functionality, and configuration
Proficient in designing and developing user training documentation, test plan and test script development and execution
Good knowledge of SAP authorization roles, objects, and basic reports to solve missing authorizations and help security team with security design in functional areas
Strong on global enterprise enablement
