Job summary

PlanIT Group is seeking a senior SAP HANA data engineer to lead complex ETL and data warehouse initiatives. You will design, optimize SAP HANA data flows, build BODS and Nifi pipelines, and deliver actionable analytics with Tableau.

The role requires 6+ years in SAP HANA development, strong problem solving, documentation, data governance, and the ability to work with ERP/PLM/MES environments. US citizenship is required; remote work allowed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with SAP HANA
• 6+ years of experience with SAP HANA and 3+ years in data analytics/visualization tools
• 3+ years performing impact assessment and lineage analyses
• Experience with ERP/PLM/MES or related systems

Responsibilities

• Develop SAP HANA database solutions and ETL processes with SAP BODS and Nifi
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely recovery to meet customer needs
• Create and revise documentation for data pipelines and architecture
• Analyze current state to support data-driven analysis and metric reporting
• Utilize internal AI tools to optimize operations

Job description

USA Contract On-Site Flexibility/Remote: 100%

• Strong develop in SAP HANA database and perform ETL BODS minimal guidance. Create, optimize BODS jobs and Nifi, create views, replicate tables, and other data engineering experience.
• Able to troubleshoot production issues urgently and able to recover to meet customers' needs.
• Able to think implement automation, guardrails, think outside of the box to optimize daily ETL jobs.
• Will need to create and revise documentation
• Able to perform analysis on impact of the current state for the upcoming changes and execute development to support data driven analysis and metric reporting with responsibilities including data collection, reporting development, and analytics execution.
• Must be US Citizen
• 6+ years of experience with SAP HANA, or SAP Business Objects suite
• 6+ years of experience - Strong knowledge and hands-on experience working with SAP HANA database 3+ years of experience with data analytics and/or visualization tools like Tableau
• 6 + years experience in ETL tool - especially in SAP BODS and Nifi
• Must have strong problem-solving skills and strong oral and written communication skills
• Automation experience
• 3+ years of experience to perform analysis on impact assessment and lineage
• Create mapping, complete documentation
• Understanding of data governance, data security, and data quality
• Expertise in developing data warehouse solutions
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and/or Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or other systems and processes
• Able to utilize internal AI tools to help with operation efficiency
