Job summary

Genesis Consulting is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Development Support Consultant with 5+ years of experience to support SAP ECC 6.0 on HANA, including HCM, Finance, and Utilities solutions. You will work with SAP Functional and Integration teams to analyze requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize ERP enhancements.

The ideal candidate will have strong ABAP/ABAP-OO on HANA experience, experience with modern SAP technologies, and ability to operate in a KPI-driven environment.

Job Summary

Genesis Consulting is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Development Support Consultant with 5+ years of experience to support the development, customization, integration, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise SAP applications. This role will work closely with SAP Functional and Integration teams to analyze requirements, troubleshoot production issues, develop solutions, and support ongoing ERP enhancements and modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on ABAP/ABAP-OO on HANA experience, knowledge of modern SAP development technologies, and experience working in complex, metrics- and KPI-driven SAP environments.

Duties, Responsibilities, & Skills

• Develop, customize, maintain, and support SAP ECC 6.0 on HANA including:
  • Human Capital Management: Benefits, SuccessFactors Learning, Organizational Management Forms, Personnel Administration, SuccessFactors Performance & Goals, Time Management, Payroll, Environmental Health & Safety.
  • Finance & Logistics: AP/OpenText VIM, Asset Accounting, AR, Treasury, Contract Accounting, Funds Management, Grants Management, Project Systems, GL, Controlling, Materials Management/Ariba, Inventory Management.
  • Industry Solutions for Utilities: CCS, Device Management, MyWaterSD (SEW cloud solution), OpenText ExStream.
• Ensure customer developments use newer tools where possible (HANA optimizations, HTML5/Fiori, BTP Sidecar).
• Provide technical unit test documentation and support functional unit testing.
• Optimize SAP-developed solutions for performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of senior‑level SAP ABAP development and production support experience in a metrics- and KPI-driven SAP environment.
• Strong ABAP/ABAP-OO on HANA experience, including complex application development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Experience with BOPF, FPM/BOPF, WebDynpro, Floorplan Manager, RICEFW, ALE, BAdIs, BAPIs, IDocs, REST APIs, user exits, and enhancements.
• Experience with modern SAP development technologies, including RAP, CDS, ABAP Cloud, Eclipse/ADT, SAP Fiori Elements, SAPUI5, and S/4HANA Business APIs.
• Knowledge of clean-core extensibility, SAP BTP ABAP/RAP, Cloud Foundry/CAP, and custom code migration to ABAP Cloud.
• Experience with SAP Workflow, including BRF+ and class-based workflows.
• Experience supporting HCM, EHS, IS-U, CRM, and/or other complex SAP functional areas.
• Experience with BlueWorx/Neptune, including frontend, backend, and mobile development.
• Experience with OpenText ExStream and ESRI/ArcGIS integration preferred.
• Ability to perform systems analysis, technical design, programming, technical documentation, unit testing, incident analysis, and root causes troubleshooting.
• Experience collaborating with SAP Functional and Integration teams to develop interfaces and resolve production issues.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or another related field.
