Job summary

IT Minds LLC in Chicago, IL seeks an experienced SAP FICO Functional Lead to drive finance & controlling transformations, from testing to go-live. You will lead implementation and support projects, run workshops, gather requirements, perform fit-gap analyses, and design solutions across GL, AP, AR, AA, and FSCM.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on SAP Finance knowledge, with experience in SIT/UAT and end-to-end validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP FICO implementation and support projects from Testing.
• Involve in business process workshops, requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design.
• Manage GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, CCA, PCA within SAP FICO.
• Oversee AR and FSCM processes; collaborate with technical teams on interfaces and reports.
• Ensure SIT, UAT, regression testing and end-to-end validation are performed.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate status to stakeholders.

Seeking an experienced and hands-on SAP FICO Functional Lead with strong expertise in SAP Finance & Controlling processes to lead support and transformation initiatives from testing end with at least one Implementation and Support experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP FICO implementation and support projects from Testing.
• Involve in business process workshops, requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design discussions.
• SAP Finance and Controlling modules including:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Bank Accounting
• Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
• Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Collections processes, including SAP FSCM.
• Analyze and resolve complex production support issues and process gaps.
• Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces, APIs, IDocs, enhancements, reports, workflows, and integrations.
• Strong experience in SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and End-to-End Business Process Validation.
• Strong understanding of SAP process integration testing across FICO, MM, SD, Group Reporting and BI Reporting Solutions and FSCM modules.
• Ability to review test scenarios and identify business process gaps and control weaknesses.

• SAP Test Automation exposure using Tricentis Tosca
• Knowledge of MuleSoft or other middleware integration platforms.
• Experience supporting S/4HANA upgrade testing
