Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant to lead finance and controlling initiatives within a hybrid work environment in the United States.

The role focuses on end-to-end SAP implementations, finance transformation, and ongoing production support, partnering with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and technical teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep SAP FICO and S/4HANA Finance expertise, with strong FI-SD and FI-MM integrations, Product Costing,

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of SAP consulting experience with strong SAP FICO expertise.
• Experience supporting at least two full-lifecycle SAP implementation projects, preferably involving S/4HANA.
• Extensive experience with FI-SD and FI-MM integrations.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, and Controlling processes.
• Experience with Product Costing, CO-PA, Cost Center and Profit Center Accounting.
• Experience configuring automatic payments and banking integrations.
• Knowledge of foreign currency valuation and translation processes.
• Understanding of tax processes and financial compliance requirements.
• Experience creating functional specifications and supporting development teams during solution implementation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support SAP FICO solutions aligned with business and financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process gaps and recommend scalable SAP solutions.
• Support end-to-end SAP implementation projects, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
• Configure and support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Asset Accounting, and Controlling processes.
• Lead and support FI-SD and FI-MM integration activities.
• Configure and enhance CO-PA to support financial reporting and business decision-making.
• Support Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, and Profit Center Accounting processes.
• Configure and support Automatic Payments, Electronic Bank Statements, and banking integrations.
• Support New General Ledger and financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with Local GAAP reporting and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support.
• Develop functional specifications, test scripts, and business process documentation.
• Execute and support Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Coordinate with offshore and cross-functional teams to support project delivery and issue resolution.
• Provide knowledge transfer, user training, and post-production support.

Job description

The SAP FICO Functional Consultant will support SAP Finance and Controlling initiatives, including end-to-end SAP implementations, finance transformation, process improvements, and ongoing production support. The role requires deep expertise in SAP FICO and S/4HANA Finance, with strong knowledge of FI-SD and FI-MM integrations, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, and core Financial Accounting processes. The consultant will partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and technical teams to design scalable solutions, improve business processes, and ensure seamless financial and operational integration.

• Experience with Local GAAP Reporting.
• Experience with Special Purpose Ledger Reporting.

Certifications

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Financial Accounting (FI) or SAP Management Accounting (CO) preferred.
• SAP RAR or SAP SD Certification is a plus.
