Job summary

Charter Global is seeking an onshore SAP Business Analyst with 7+ years of ECC logistics experience to support materials management, stock movements, and serial number tracking. The role involves integration with EWM and TM, and retrofit work toward S/4HANA, with a first-week in-person requirement at the client site in Santa Clara.

You will lead workshops, translate requirements into functional specs, and support cutover activities including testing and go-live readiness.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops, map processes, identify gaps, and document functional requirements with logistics, warehouse, and operations stakeholders.
• Analyze, design, and support SAP ECC materials management, stock transport orders, inventory movements, and serial number tracking.
• Support end-to-end returns processes, including advanced returns, reshipments, credit memos, repairs, and customer returns with/without reference documents.
• Define and validate integration requirements across ECC, EWM, and TM; coordinate with teams to resolve cross-system issues.
• Prepare functional specs, process flows, configuration documentation, and acceptance criteria; collaborate with developers on implementation.
• Investigate operational issues using transaction data, configuration, and interface messages; coordinate root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Create test scenarios and scripts; support testing and defect resolution (functional, integration, regression, UAT).
• Support ECC-to-S/4HANA retrofit through impact assessment and validation of logistics, returns, and integration processes.
• Support cutover planning, user documentation and training, go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization; communicate risks and dependencies clearly.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an onshore SAP Business Analyst with 7+ years of relevant SAP experience to support SAP ECC logistics operations and returns processes. The role focuses on materials management, stock transport orders, serial number management, and stock management, including integration with Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Transportation Management (TM). The analyst will work with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into functional solutions and support ECC-to-S/4HANA retrofit activities. Please note, first week in-person requirement at client site in Santa Clara with EY business team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business requirements workshops, map current and future processes, identify gaps, and document functional requirements with logistics, warehouse, and operations stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years of relevant SAP experience, with hands‑on business analysis or functional consulting experience in SAP ECC logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of materials management, stock transport orders, inventory and stock movements, and serial number management.
• Experience with advanced returns, reshipments, credit memos, repairs, and customer returns with and without reference.
• Cross‑functional integration knowledge across ECC, EWM, and TM, including end‑to‑end process dependencies and issue resolution.
• Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications, configuration requirements, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Experience supporting requirements, design, testing, go‑live, and production support; strong analytical, documentation, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with business users, functional consultants, developers, and distributed delivery teams.
