Job summary

System Soft Technologies seeks an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support an enterprise Returns Management transformation across ECC and S/4HANA. You will work with SAP Analysts and multiple workstreams (Returns, SD/MM, EWM, TM) to design, develop, retrofit, test, deploy, and support technical solutions.

Key requirements include 7+ years in ABAP development, knowledge of HANA/CDS/AMDP, and exposure to SAP UI5/Fiori. Hybrid remote role with potential on-site engagement in Santa Clara.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP analysis, design, and programming.
• Proficiency with ABAP Workbench and classic ABAP development tools.
• Experience with ABAP on HANA, CDS, and AMDP.
• Knowledge of RESTful ABAP (RAP) is a plus.
• Experience with SAPUI5, Fiori, and Screen Personas is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SAP Authorizations and performance tuning.
• SAP certification is preferred.

Job description

Mode of work: Remote (first week in-person at client site required in Santa Clara with EY business team)

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support an enterprise SAP Returns Management / RMA transformation program.

The developer will work closely with SAP Functional Analysts and the Returns, SD/MM, EWM, and TM workstreams to design, develop, retrofit, test, deploy, and support technical solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on ABAP development experience combined with a good understanding of SAP Order to Cash Area and customer returns processes, including return orders, deliveries, credit processing, Integration with warehouse execution, and transportation integration.

ABAP — What you'll be doing:

• Work closely with Business Systems Analyst team to determine optimal solutions addressing the functional requirements.
• Translate requirements and functional specifications into technical specifications documentation.
• Design, Develop and Maintain a diverse set of SAP Objects based on the business needs.
• Support Functional Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, mock cycles, cutover, production deployment, and hypercare.
• Proactively monitors and supports the production landscape to address issues.

Technical and Experience Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP analysis, design, and programming experience developing custom SAP solutions. Relevant work experience supporting Finance functional area is a plus.
• Proficiency in conventional ABAP development tools and techniques including but not limited to Classic ABAP programming, ABAP Workbench, ABAP Objects, IDocs, SAPScripts, Smartforms, Web-Dynpro, Web Services, Workflows, User Exits / BADIs / Enhancements.
• Hands-on experience with ABAP on HANA, Core Data Services CDS and AMDP.
• Knowledge of RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) is an advantage.
• Working experience in SAPUI5, Fiori and Screen Personas is a plus.
• Deep understanding of SAP Authorizations.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Debug, tune and optimize programs for performance.
• SAP certification is preferred.
