FirstEnergy is seeking an SAP Developer to support our SAP platform with primary responsibility for Billing and Customer Choice solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting SAP processes that enable utility customer billing and competitive market operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• SAP ABAP development experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP development lifecycle processes, transports, and production support activities.
• Demonstrated aptitude for software development and technical problem solving.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
• Strong commitment to customer service, continuous learning, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance SAP solutions supporting utility billing and deregulated market operations.
• Partner with business clients and functional teams to analyze requirements and translate into specifications and solutions.
• Design, develop, and support SAP programs, reports, interfaces, workflows, enhancements, and integrations.
• Develop solutions that adhere to development standards, security requirements, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve defects and production issues.
• Develop and execute unit test plans and support user acceptance testing.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
• Provide day-to-day production support including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Support nightly batch processing and occasional after-hours activities.
